About 3 years ago, if you mentioned the word essential oils to me, I would look at you with a blank stare or that perplex look on my face...because I knew absolutely nothing about them, only that they smell nice.  I was introduced to essential oils through two of my friends because I was experiencing a few health challenges, specifically migraine headaches, insomnia and anxiety.  These challenges caused me to often miss work and would limit my ability to function to my fullest potential.   I was taking my Advil almost everyday.  I was borderline addicted to them to the point where I dubbed it Vitamin A for Advil.

But soon, I found out that I was having some adverse reactions to taking them and I started to wonder if I was doing more harm to myself in the long run.

My first oil was Lavender and Peppermint.  I used the Lavender to help me relax and the peppermint was to ease my migraine.  That day changed my perspective on how I can manage my health without the use of pharmaceutical drugs.   Of course, being the curious person that I am and since I was into wellness and taking proper care of myself, I started to do my research on essential oils on a whole.   I wanted to understand how they were made, why they worked and are they really able to replace many of the over the counter medications that I was used to taking.   To my surprise, I discovered that not only were they effective, I also discovered that not all of them are 100% pure.

My next experience with essential oils was even more profound, because it was a moment when I had to decide whether to treat my daughter's allergic reaction to our neighbour's cat with the stuff that comes in a bottle (and it's pink and starts with a P) OR try the essential oils.  I choose the latter and it was at that very moment when I saw how quickly she was back to normal, that I was embarking on a journey to natural health and taking charge of my health...with the power of essential oils.

When I learned about the opportunity to be a part of a community of like-minded individuals who are on the same path and realized the potential to not only share the oils with friends and family, but to also do it as a business, I took the next step to become a Wellness Advocate for the company and have never looked back since.   I hold private and group classes to men and women who want to learn about the benefits and uses of Essential Oils.  It has been a journey of personal growth and discovery for me to be a part of this tribe and I'm looking forward to serving you - the client - on this platform of health and wellness.  My website is available to you at http://mydoterra.com/maxiwellness but since I'm a people person, let's schedule a chat or send me an e-mail with any questions you may have.

Yours in wellness,

Maxine
